Berry Protein Pudding
1 tablespoon NZProtein Chia Seed Protein Powder
1 scoop NZProtein protein powder (Whey or Pea Isolate)
1 cup almond milk 1/4 cup mixed berries
1 pinch ground cinnamon.
Blend all the ingredients, refrigerate and allow to set.
Banana Substitute in Smoothies
Most smoothies call for a banana for thickness and creaminess – why not replace the banana with chia seed gel? Chia is higher in protein and has less sugar! Simply mix about 1 part chia seed powder to 1 part water in a small container. The gel will be ready in about 20 minutes. Store in the fridge and use in your smoothies.
Chia seed powder can be an ‘egg’ substitute in baking. 2 tablespoons chia powder + 1/3 cup water = 2 ‘eggs’.
