Chocolate Faba and Chickpea Brownies

A quick and easy recipe. Takes just 15 minutes to bake.


  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2c brown rice malt syrup
  • 1/4c smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4c NZProtein Faba Bean Unflavoured protein powder
  • 1t Vanilla essence
  • 1t Baking Powder
  • 3T Chocolate chips

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees celcius.
  2. Blend the chickpeas in a food processor until coarse and grainy.
  3. Add in the rest of the ingredients, leaving out the chocolate chips.
  4. Blend while intermittently scraping down the sides
  5. Once it’s all combined fold in the chocolate chips and transfer to a baking dish.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until the top cracks slightly.
