Collagen Hot Chocolate NZ

NZ Protein's collagen hot chocolate mix makes a hot chocolate drink with all the benefits of collagen.

It’s virtually sugar free and has 10 grams of hydrolysed collagen per serve.

Directions

To make a collagen hot chocolate drink one add one serving (2x level scoops) to 250ml of boiling water or your favourite milk in a mug and stir in.

NZProtein’s Collagen is a concentrated protein supplement for joints, bones and skin. It’s collagen from beef (bovine) that’s been hydrolysed into an easily dissolvable, rapid-digesting form.

I’m not a fan of hot chocolate so I bought this for my husband…..I tried it and now I can’t stop drinking it. This product is so tasty and rich, it really hits the spot if you want something sweet without devouring sugar. I do find it clumps just a little when mixing but practice makes perfect. As for hubbys opinion…..I haven’t given it to him……it’s all for me haha.

This is a very tasty and comforting treat! I was quite skeptical as bovine collagen sounded a bit scary to me and I'm not a fan of sweetener but am pleasantly surprised by the flavour and texture. I had to play around a bit to get the right consistency when using milk that has been frothed in our coffee machine. I found 1/4-1/3 of boiling water mixed with the powder to start and then add my frothy soy milk in is just right, just milk was too thick and hard to get the powder dissolved fully. I don't think I could go back to regular hot chocolate now
